This Policy applies to information we collect through the Site and through direct communications with you (such as email or intake forms). It does not apply to third-party websites or services we do not control, or to information governed by a separate written agreement, such as our Master Services Agreement with clients.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide
When you contact us or submit an intake or project form, you may provide:
- Identifiers such as your name, email address, phone number, and company;
- Project details, budget ranges, files, and any other content you choose to submit;
- Correspondence and the contents of messages you send us.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Site, we and our analytics providers may automatically collect:
- Device and browser information (type, operating system, language);
- Usage data (pages viewed, links clicked, referring/exit pages, time on page);
- Approximate location derived from IP address;
- Cookie and similar-technology identifiers (see Section 4 and our Cookie & AI Disclosure).
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information through the Site, and we ask that you not submit it.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiries and provide, evaluate, and manage services;
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
- Understand how the Site is used through analytics;
- Communicate with you about projects, updates, or (where permitted) marketing — you can opt out of marketing at any time;
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security, or technical issues;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
4. Cookies & Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site and to understand usage. We use Google Analytics 4 to collect aggregate usage statistics. Analytics providers may set their own cookies and process data under their own privacy terms. For a detailed breakdown of the cookies we use and how to control them, see our Cookie & AI Disclosure.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:
- With service providers who perform functions on our behalf (hosting, analytics, email, payment processing), under obligations to protect the information;
- For legal reasons — to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect our rights, safety, or property;
- In a business transfer — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy;
- With your consent or at your direction.
6. Third-Party Service Providers
The Site currently relies on the following categories of providers:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Website hosting (Cloudflare Pages), content delivery, security, and access control |
| Google Analytics 4 | Aggregate website usage analytics |
| Google Fonts | Web font delivery |
| Email provider | Receiving and responding to inquiries |
Each provider processes data under its own privacy terms. This list may change as our tooling evolves.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, to maintain business records, and to comply with legal obligations, after which we delete or de-identify it. Analytics data is retained according to our analytics provider's configured retention period.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information. We honor these rights for all users where practicable.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
You may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose;
- Request deletion of your personal information;
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information;
- Opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — note that we do not sell personal information;
- Not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
EEA/UK residents (GDPR/UK GDPR)
You may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at dan@productionsoup.io. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
10. Do Not Track & Global Privacy Control
Some browsers offer "Do Not Track" (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. Because there is no common industry standard for DNT, the Site does not currently respond to DNT signals. Where required by law, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals such as GPC.
11. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. International Visitors
We are based in the United States, and information we collect is processed in the U.S. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data- protection laws may differ from those in your country.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
